Artspace - Center for Contemporary Art - features rotating exhibitions of contemporary art in all media and a permanent collection of affordable works on paper by local and regional artists. untitled(space) gallery presents new work by both emerging and mid career artists with an emphasis on works-in-progress, interactive work, and site-specific work. The Creative Arts Workshop- has two galleries that serve the educational mission of the Workshop. The exhibition schedule includes two student shows, a national juried exhibition, a bi-annual faculty show and at least one community related show. Each year the galleries are transformed for the Celebration of American Crafts, a six-week holiday exhibition and sale of the finest in contemporary crafts. In addition the Gallery Committee reviews proposals for one or two additional exhibitions each year, including an annual August installation. All exhibitions are open to the public and free of charge. The Hilles Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with two floors of exhibition space and a gracious two-story window facade. A Leaf Photography Studio & Gallery - The newest New Haven art gallery is an intimate space in the heart of the Ninth Square at 91 Orange St. Privately owned, the gallery may be leased for exhibitions and fund-raising events. Call (203) 562-5323 for information on the current exhibition.

PABA Gallery-the Photo Art, Book Art Gallery, exhibits contemporary photography and artistis' books including fine and small press. An exhibition schedule of national and international artists complements the collection on display at the gallery, located in the historic 1870 Foundry Building.

White Space Gallery- established in 2004, White Space Gallery is a fine art gallery located in beautiful downtown New Haven showcasing hand-signed, limited edition lithographs by Surrealist Masters Dali, Chagall, Picasso, and Miro, as well as a diverse collection of originial art by prominent living artists and sculptors, and Resident Artist Denise Parri. The gallery offers authentic works of art at fair prices, and is able to provide a lot of first-time collectors with truly fine art, and also expand existing collections with important additions. City Gallery- which celebrated its one year anniversary in June 2004, is a cooperative. The City Gallery hosts 12 member or guest curated group or solo exhibitions and three group shows for members of contemporary art per calendar year. Small Space Gallery- The Arts Council of Greater New Haven is a metropolitan art service and leadership organization that promotes, coordinates, and advocates for all the arts in the region. John Slade Ely House- is a non-profit art center located in the audubon arts district of New Haven. Founded in 1961 in a converted Elizabethan style residence, the John Slade Ely House is New Haven's first dedicated arts center. The Ely House program includes three to five curated and thematic group exhibitions of contemporary regional artists per year organized by the Curator and Gallery Committee. The Ely House supports the full range and depth of todays art from traditional forms to new media, experimental, social and political art. The Ely House does not shy away from difficult or unpopular art or ideas and recognizes and supports artists who pursue work not viable commercially. Seton Gallery-located in Dodds Hall on the University of New Haven Campus, Seton Gallery adds to New Haven's vibrant cultural environment. Offering a variety of exhibtis thoughout the year in various media, the gallery is a well-established university art gallery featuring, in addition to a permanent collection, a wide variety of renowned artists and sculptors at shows throughout the academic year. Fairhaven Furniture- If home furnishings had a Michelin guide, this place would certainly be rated "worth the trip!" Featuring three floors of unique gifts, furniture and toys, Fairhaven Woodoworks also holds exhibits at the River Street Gallery. The gallery just featured the "fiber revolution," focusing on fiber art as an exciting art form. Wunderlee Arts- an exciting small contemporary gallery located in the heart of the New Haven Westville Art scene. This gallery features the art of Janet Bordie, hand-made cards/rubber stamper extraodinaire; Bonnie-Sol, landscape oil painter; Peter Gardner, oil-painter of intense figurative abstraction; Tracy Turner, photographer of nature and buildings and Don Wunderlee the gallery owner and abstract painter. Yale Medical Group Art Place-is an award-winning program created, sponsored, and managed by Yale Medical Group. Art Place is an ongoing art exhibition, which at first focused on presenting original work from artists within the Yale and New Haven communities, but expanded to accept works from the rest of Connecticut and surrounding areas as well. Since its inception, Art Place has exhibited the works of over 50 artists in 10 different media, and the once-barren corridors and waiting rooms of the Yale Physicians Building have come alive with color and texture. The Art Place team understands and appreciates the wonderful ability art has to heal and restore, and through great effort the team has achieved its goal of enriching the patients' experience as they seek medical care. Patients and family members have lauded the program, expressing appreciation for the art on display and gratitude for the enjoyment and comfort it brings during difficult times.

ALL- Arts + Literature Laboratory, is a non-profit organization that encourages visual and performing artists and writers to explore and develop their craft, and provides a supportive and challenging environment in which ideas can be shared. ALL facilitates an open dialogue among artists, writers and the community, offering a rich variety of educational programs and cultural outreach projects, in addition to regularly showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists and writers.
