New Haven has a rich history in railroads. The Elm City has been a large part of America's railsystem for over 177 years. The New Haven Railroad, at one point, controlled over 2,100 miles of track throughout New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Today, New Haven is just as connected to the rest of the country, on a local as well as a national level. All of the travel options below are available out of Historic Union Station located in the Downtown area at 50 Union Avenue.
