The CT Folk Festival and Green Expo Sept 12-14, 2008 Ticketed Event

Friday night the 12th there will be a concert at Lyman Center for the Performing Arts at Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU), Saturday afternoon the 13th , a free family concert in Edgerton Park from 1p.m.-4 p.m.and at 5:00 P.M., in a ticketed event, the music continues in the park featuring Steve Earle and many more. The free Green Expo will take place at SCSU’s campus on Sunday the 14th from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. The festival will again this year be co-sponsored by Southern Connnecticut State University in conjunction with New Haven Folk.

The focus of our Green Expo is One Planet, Many Choices. Our mission is to show solutions available today for clean energy, green transportation, good food, clean air and water, waste reduction, and sensible residential living. Not only do we want to educate by showing solutions, but we also want to promote interest and excitement about seizing these opportunities to promote long-term community and planetary health and well being.
